Kwabena Duffuor, a flagbearer candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), claims that there are some inconsistencies in the party’s voter registration ahead of Saturday’s primaries.
Dr. Duffuor is urging the party’s National Executive to postpone the next presidential and parliamentary primaries, which are set for this weekend, May 13, 2023.
Dr. Duffuor’s campaign team states in a letter to the NDC General Secretary that the call is based on an incomplete and erroneous delegates registry that will be utilised for the elections.
The letter’s author and the Head of research and strategy of the Duffuor campaign, Kofi Kukubor, noted the postponement will allow enough time for the register to be cleansed and allow for a free and fair election.
