A new dawn of media excellence, creativity and innovation beckons at Western Region’s OilCity Radio, as four distinguished media personalities join the family. This among others, forms a deliberate action taken by the management of the station to improve their service and ultimately dominate the media landscape in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, and the Western Region.
The quartet brings onboard rich and diverse experiences and creativity to the OilCity Radio. They are; Evans Mensah Shearer, Ebenezer Amissah Krah, Ayatullah Abas Tetteh, and Odeneho Obrempongnana Beshiaman
Evans Mensah Shearer joins the sports team, while Odeneho Obrempongnana Beshiaman and Ayatullah Abas Tetteh join the news department. Mr. Ebenezer Amissah Krah takes up the role of an Event and Marketing Lead for the station.
Management notes; “these additions are in synch with strategic modifications and programming of content that will excite, educate and develop our listening community.”
The station promises to offer new, improved and exciting shows on air and across various media channels.

Evans Mensah Shearer, affectionately called EMS has had a remarkable media career, starting at Unik FM in 2006 and later working at Liberty FM, DE Beat FM, and Goodnews FM, where he was Head of Sports. He also briefly joined Flex FM before a significant role at Skyy Media Group from 2015 to 2022. In 2023, he became Head of Sports at Ahoto FM within Atinka Media Village, showcasing his dedication and talent in the Ghanaian media landscape.
With his unique style and innovative spirit, Odeneho Obrempongnana Beshiaman’s career spanned various regions of the country, he has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to excellence. Starting at Vision FM in Sefwi Debiso, he excelled at Golden Pud FM and Pink FM, earning recognition for his broadcasting skills. He continued to shine at stations in the Bono and Western North Regions and expanded his reach to the Ashanti Region. His career reflects dedication, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills, making him a rising star in Ghana’s media landscape.
Ayatulla Abas Tetteh also known as Kendrick is a versatile broadcaster in Ghana’s media industry, known for his dedication and adaptability. His journey began at Radio Silver 92.3 FM and has led him to his previous role at Radio Maxx 105.1FM. With a strong educational background in Journalism & Media Communication. Mr. Ayatulla has excelled in various positions, including presenting, producing, and marketing, at multiple radio stations. His career path showcases the power of commitment and versatility in shaping the future of Ghana’s media.
Ebenezer Amissah Krah, popularly known as Safohene is a respected figure in Ghana’s media landscape, known for his dynamic personality and versatility. With an impressive career spanning various radio stations, he stands out for his exceptional leadership, adaptability, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Mr. Amissah Krah possesses strong organizational, interpersonal, and integrity-driven skills, making him effective both as a team player and an independent contributor. His adventurous spirit and aversion to mediocrity drive him to maintain high standards in all endeavors. With a background in Energy Economics and Operations Management, his diverse experience has left a lasting impact on Ghana’s media scene, establishing him as a prominent figure in the industry.
