The Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Dr. Ibrahim Mohamed Awal has assured the government’s unwavering support for the second edition of the Inter Tourism Expo, which will be held at the World Trade Centre in Accra.
The minister stated that the government’s agenda for making tourism a GDP contributor in Ghana, as well as private sector initiatives such as the Tourism Expo, coincide with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s commitments to sustainable tourism investments and inbound tourism receipts to the Ghanaian economy’s growth.
He also emphasized that the Expo is a commercial tourism event that will generate significant financial benefits for the tourism industry, in line with the Ministry’s strategic policy direction.
Mr. Emmanuel Trecu, Chief Executive Officer and Convener of Inter Tourism Expo Accra, at his briefing meeting with the Minister in his office, gave the highlights of the five-day Tourism Expo, dubbed “New Tourism and Sustainable Air Travel.”
He said that the event would include Thought Leaders Conference (Panel Discussion), B2B Tourism Trade Exhibition, Food and Culture Festival, Sports Tourism Fiesta (Legend Footballer Soccer Challenge), MICE Master Class, Central Business District (Accra) City Tours, and Bilateral Trade.
“The upcoming expo is scheduled from October 14 to 18, 2022, to scale new markets to provide global practitioners and professionally focused B2B platform to showcase the vast potential of the Ghana tourism industry,” Mr. Trecu said.
According to him, will further connect the people, brands, and culture allowing the participants to experience innovative products and services which will translate into the creation of a sustainable tourism business for the destination of Ghana.
Inter Tourism Expo, is an annual focused tourism trade show organized by Global Signature, a tourism promotion enterprise established in 2005 for destination marketing and MICE tourism trade show promotion.
