New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Agyapong says his transformational agenda for the nation will heavily rely on agriculture.
According to Kennedy Agyapong the northern region of the nation will be the breadbasket of Africa.
He declared, “If you vote for me today or elect me president of Ghana, I will use the five regions of the north, Afram, and the Accra plains to feed all of Africa.”
The Assin Central legislator stressed to journalists in Accra that if agriculture is strengthened, Ghana can experience real socio-economic development.
“We have arable lands here, and we are saying we are poor. We are not poor, we need a push and enlightenment. People must have confidence, so we take our destiny into our own hands and the sky will be the limit”, the presidential aspirant added.
In 2022, Mr. Agyapong revealed his desire to run for president on the NPP’s slate, claiming he would be the best choice for the position in the subsequent general elections.
He declared that he would draw on his philanthropy, honesty, love of humanity, and—most importantly—his desire to see the nation develop.
In Kennedy Ohene Agyapong’s view, any attempt by the NPP to field President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia or former Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kyerematen, will spell disaster for the party.
