President Nana Akufo- Addo has named Kofi Agyepong, the deputy director of communications at Jubilee House the acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).
“The President has appointed you to act as the chief executive officer of the Agency, pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the governing board of the Agency, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission,” the Secretary to the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante said in the appointment letter.
His appointment becomes effective on August 10, 2022.
He is said to replace the just elected general secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong,
Kofi Agyepong is a political communication consultant and a prominent member of the NPP and well-known in the Ghanaian media.
He graduated from Leicester University in the United Kingdom in 2019 with a Master of Arts in media and public relations. Agyepong studied at the Africa University College of Communications from 2008 to 2010, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies in 2010.
From 2000 to 2002, he attended Kumasi High School, where he graduated with a Senior High School (SHS) education.
As a skilled university- trained journalist, Agyepong was a prolific writer for the Ghanaian weekly Graphic Sports.
He is also a member of the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), which is the world’s largest professional PR body.
