Former President John Dramani Mahama met with the party’s vetting committee on Monday morning to be vetted as a candidate for the NDC flagbearer position.
At the party headquarters in Accra, the flagbearer candidate was accompanied by some party constituency executives and supporters.
John Mahama, the first of four aspirants to be vetted for the position, will be questioned on his ideologies and vision for the party if he is elected.
Former President John Dramani Mahama officially filed his nomination form for the National Democratic Congress’ flagbearer ship race on Tuesday, March 21.
His forms were submitted on his behalf by a team led by Professor Joshua Alabi, the NDC’s Campaign Manager for the 2020 general elections.
While filling out the forms, Prof. Alabi urged NDC delegates to give John Dramani Mahama their full support as the party’s flagbearer.
Former Bank of Ghana Governor Kwabena Duffuor, Ernest Krobeah Asante, and Kojo Bonsu are additional contenders in the race.
