Nearly one hundred members of the oppostion National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the Kwesimintsim Constituency have defected to the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP). The defection according to them is based on the long years of neglect, and the fact that Nana Akufo led- government has churned out innovative and pro- poor policies to improve the lives of Ghanaians.
Speaking during a press conference earlier today, leader of the group, Mr. Theophilus imitated that the New Patriotic Party was the party that was capable of developing Ghana, and the dynamic leadership skills exhibited by the NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Dr. Prince Hamid Armah so far in the Constituency demonstrates the party has doable and lucid policies to transform Ghana. The defectors pledged their unflinching support and allegiance to the party and its ideals. And assured the party that they would work tirelessly to secure four more years for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo and Dr. Prince Hamid Armah as the MP for Kwesimintsim in the December elections.
In welcoming the defectors to the NPP, the NPP Kwesimintsim Parliamentary Candidate, Dr. Prince Hamid Armah stated that it was heart warming and refreshing for them to acknowledge the good works of the NPP government. He stated that NPP was the only party that could truly transform the fortunes of Ghana for the benefit of all. Dr. Armah assured them of his unalloyed support to them to make their defection worthwhile.
