Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwifes Association (GRNMA) rotational allowance has been paid fully after a financial clearance by the ministry of Finance.
This was done after the Association on countless occasion in meeting with the ministry. According the General secretary for the association, David Tenkorang Twum, has said they appreciate the effort by the government to restore the rotational allowance of the nurses and midwifes association after months of public outcry.
Speaking in an interview on Omanyimunsem show on Oilcity radio, Mr. Twum pleaded on the government to absorb the trained nurses and midwifes who remain unposted since completion of school in 2019 should be considered as staying home for long will affect their work in achieving quality healthcare in the country.
“He stated’ Reacting to the various picketing and demonstration of the unposted nurses and midwife, the general secretary opined that resorting to this activities will not yield any results if the government is not ready or not financially sound to do so. He is of the view that the association members should remain calm as the they have the hint that financial clearance will come soon them to be posted.
