Thomas Partey and two other Arsenal players will remain in London when Mikel Arteta’s squad jet off for their pre-season tour of the United State on Wednesday.
According to The Times, the Ghanaian midfielder has been left out of the club’s US tour and will instead stay at London Colney with Bernd Leno and Folarin Balogun to work on their fitness ahead of the new season.
Partey, 29, did not travel to Germany for Arsenal’s 5-3 win over Nurnberg on Friday, after returning from a thigh injury to play in a friendly against Ipswich the previous week.
Partey, who missed the final two months of the previous season due to injury, will be eager to regain match fitness in the weeks leading up to the 2022-23 season.
