The Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis has recorded three new cases of COVID-19 pushing the Region’s case count to 64.
With this latest figures, the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis has twenty two cases out of the regional case count of sixty-four.
At its 32nd Daily Situational Report, The Western Regional Health Directorate has reiterated the need for districts to identify possible isolation centers to be used to manage the increasing numbers of the disease. The Regional Health Directorate believes such a development would help complement the already prepared thirteen health facilities in the region earmarked for COVID-19 treatment.
Related to that, the Ahanta West Municipality has refurbished a six-bed capacity center to serve as a treatment center for the area.
Also, Gold Fields Ghana Limited in Tarkwa has dedicated a twenty-five bed facility to be used as a treatment center to manage cases in that area.
