Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, has donated a complete set of jerseys, shin guards, and football boots to Wa-based Real Crusaders ladies.
The former Nadowli – Kaleo Member of Parliament has been a vocal supporter of women’s football in the region and has pledged to assist whenever needed.
The massive donation to the Upper West Regional Women’s Division One League is estimated to be around GHC 20,000.
Chief Executive Officer of the Club, Tijani Umar Farouk in a Facebook post thanked the Speaker for his support of the club.
“Real Crusaders Ladies. Thank Rt. Hon. Speaker, we are very grateful for your support,” Mr. Farouk wrote on Facebook.
The Real Crusaders ladies won the recently concluded Upper West Region Division One League (DOL) and will represent the region in the Northern Sector Zonal Championship.
