According to the Ghana Health Service, Ghana’s COVID-19 case count has risen to 6,096, following the confirmation of 178 new cases.
This was contained in its latest update on Tuesday night {May 19, 2020}.
The update revealed an increase in the number of new cases in four regions – Greater Accra, Ashanti, Western and Central Regions.
19 more recoveries have also been confirmed, increasing the number to 1,773 still with 31 deaths.
For the Western Region, twelve (12) new cases were recorded from a previous figure of ninety-nine (99), taking the Region’s case count now to one hundred and eleven(111) cases.
This means the rate of COVID-19 infections in the Western Region stands at 1.82%.
