According to the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Ghana’s COVID-19 case count as at today has increased to 3,091. This comes after 372 new cases were recorded from different parts of the country.
These developments were contained in the latest update on the Ghana Health Service (GHS) website today (May 07, 2020). According to the Ghana Health Service, the country as of today has tested 137,924 samples.
For the Western, Western-North and Central regions have also seen marginally increases in their cases count, as the Western region now has 32 cases, Western-North region has 56, and the Central region has recorded 50 cases.
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) attributes the increases in its testing capacity to the coming on stream of some other testing centres aside Noguchi Memorial Medical Centre in Accra and KCCR in Kumasi. For Instance, the Veterinary Laboratoryi in Takoradi has been recalibrated to test samples from the Western, Westen-North and Central regions.
