Zoomlion Ghana limited, a subsidiary of the Jospong Group of Companies, has started an exercise to disinfect all police posts in the Western Region, as part of their contributions in helping the country’s fight against the novel corona virus pandemic.
At a short ceremony held at the Western Regional Police Command yesterday, the Regional Manager for Zoomlion Ghana, Alhaji Abdulair Abdallah expressed his outfit willingness to help make police posts more safer for officers and the general public alike.
“We have been told that one of the surest ways to combat COVID-19 is to constantly disinfect common use surfaces, and so this exercise would help make our police officers more secured to work in difficult times like this. This exercise would see us disinfect all 115 police posts and their barracks across the region and, it is expected to be completed within a week”.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Regional Police Commander for the Western Region, DCOP Felix Owusu Agyeman thanked Zoomlion for such a kind gesture and pledged their cooperation for the exercise.
” We know that the police service practices an open door policy which makes us (police officers) highly exposed to the virus, and so this exercise to disinfect all police posts in the region is refreshing news”.
